Mask Horus

Mask Horus (português logo abaixo ^^)

This mask was made by me in my final design college fashion.
My theme was 'Egyptian gods' and the main gods - Amon, Osiris and Horus.
I really LOVED this theme, so I was never involved in a project like this.


About the mask:

To inquire about Horus I had to read about Osiris, Isis and Seth.
Horus is represented by a bird, so I decided to place a nozzle in the nose. In the legend of his father, Horus was born and grew to Sderot an enemy, he was a good kid, but was being trained to kill all the time Seth and avenge Osiris. So I put half the white mask (representing the 'goodness') and half black (representing the 'evil'). The eye of Horus symbolize are famous for several things, then kept the painting of your eyes.
The third eye on top of the mask is Isis, his mother. The end of the nozzle head has a cross in Egypt.
ears and the side of the mask are influenced by the colors of his clothes, also references to Isis, Osiris and Seth.
I tried to keep a balance so that the mask would not be ugly and not common. Wanted to do something different from all the forms I've seen mostly masks and death masks of (Egyptian).
It was a long detailed study of each aspect of existing in the shade and in his drawings.

The mask is fixed on the head, gold chains that bind to a flexible snake.

Behind the mask has the BOX where I keep the mask (lined with Egyptian motifs) the same as I presented my project. The box also designed by me.

The mask of Osiris and Horus has a certain connection, as are the father and son. Despite the mask of Osiris to be more traditional, Horus I really tried to innovate in order to stay visible on my idea that God.

This mask was rebuilt eight times for various materials to achieve this result (the photo), which are:
Leather, leather thinner, plaster and clay.
The painting and finishing, and the entire mask was made by me for an entire month.
She also has a metal frame inside, then I line the inside of the mask with black velvet.

Mascara Hórus


Essa máscara foi feita por mim em meu projeto final da faculdade de moda.
Meu tema foi 'deuses egípcios' tendo como principais deuses - Amon, Osíris e Hórus.
Eu realemnte AMEI esse tema, nunca me envolvi tanto em um projeto como esse.


Sobre a máscara :

Para pesquisar sobre Hórus eu tive que ler sobre Osíris, ísis e Seth.
Hórus é representado por um pássaro, por isso resolvi fazer um bico no lugar do nariz. Na lenda de seu pai, Hórus nasceu e cresceu para derotar um inimigo, ele era uma boa criança, mas foi sendo treinado o tempo todo para matar Seth e vingar Osíris. Por isso eu coloquei metade da máscara branca (representando a 'bondade') e a outra metade preta (representando a 'maldade'). Os olhos de Hórus são famosos por simbolizar diversas coisas, então mantive a pintura de seus olhos.
O terceiro olho em cima da mascara é de Isis, sua mãe. Do bico ao fim da testa tem uma cruz egípcia.
as orelhas e a lateral da máscara são influencia das cores de sua roupa, referencia também de Isis, Osíris e Seth.
Tentei manter um equilíbrio, de forma que a máscara não ficasse feia e nem comum. Quis fazer algo diferente de todas as formas que já vi de máscaras e principalmente de máscaras mortuárias (egípcias).
Foi um longo estudo detalhado sobre cada um dos aspectos existentes na máscara e nos seus desenhos.

A máscara fica fixa na cabeça, por correntes douradas que se ligam a uma cobra flexivel.

Atrás da máscara tem a CAIXA onde guardo a máscara (forrada com motivos egípcios) a mesma onde eu apresentei meu projeto. A caixa também foi projetada por mim.

A máscara de Osíris e Hórus tem uma certa ligação, pois são de pai e filho. Apesar da máscara de Osíris ser mais tradicional, a de Hórus eu realmente tentei inovar, de forma que ficasse visível minha idéia sobre esse Deus.

Essa máscara foi refeita 8 vezes, por diversos materiais até chegar a este resultado (da foto), sendo eles:
Couro, massa corrida, massa plastica, couro mais fino, gesso e argila.
A pintura e o acabamento, e toda a máscara foi feita por mim durante um mês inteiro.
Ela também tem uma estrutura de metal por dentro, então eu forrei a parte de dentro da máscara com veludo preto.
